Hello
My name is Wendy Sumner. As a Registered Nurse with many years experience in Pediatric Oncology, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Early Pregnancy Loss Clinic, I have worked with families as they have journeyed through some very painful life experiences including, death of a child by cancer, infant loss at delivery or in early infancy, as well as in early pregnancy. I hope that my clients will feel open to be themselves, and to explore their struggles and concerns in a safe space as we sit and learn together. I hope they will be self motivated to explore possibilities with me, to work for change, and be open to change.
​​My focus is grief and loss. Grief and loss covers so many areas of our lives, not just with the death of a beloved one. There can be sadness and mourning in children leaving home, in losing a prized job position, in a health diagnosis, in a significant move, in divorce, and in death of a loved pet to name just a few grief and loss areas of our lives.

I welcome time to sit together with you in a place of grace and learning. I trust you will feel embraced for who you are and seen for where you are at in this moment in time. I trust you will know you are valued and cared for, just as you are. And with time and work together, I believe growth and healing will happen.
